There’s nothing quite like the vivid imagination of a child.

In honor of Thanksgiving The News Courier thought it would be interesting to share area students perspectives on the art of preparing the main dish — turkey.
Students in Quita Burk’s pre-kindergarten class at Little Blessings Child Development Center shared the following recipes: 
Layla Pride

Ingredients

Rocks, salad, chicken, snow, salt, grapes, popcorn and chips.

Directions

Put it in the oven for three minutes at 530 degrees. Cook it and eat it.
Kaylen Hicks

Ingredients

Ketchup, hot sauce, beef stew, chicken, corn bread, biscuits, juice, oranges.

Directions

Put turkey in it, put fries in it and put it in a pan. Put it in the oven for two, three or four days at 2,345 degrees. Cook it and eat it.
Chloe Malone

Ingredients

Beans, salt, pepper, milk, butter, oil, hot sauce and chicken.

Directions

Put in the oven for eight hours at 48 degrees. Grill and eat it.
JoeQuez Keith

Ingredients

Pepper, salt, macaroni and cheese, chicken, hot chicken, hamburger, chicken nuggets and biscuits.

Directions

Put it in the pot. Put it in the stove for about seven years at 100 degrees. Eat it.
Elyjah Jones

Ingredients

Great Northern beans, mayonnaise, bananas, hot sauce, oranges, chicken, water, milk.

Directions

Put it in the stove. Put milk inside of it and add chicken. Cook it for too long at 489 degrees. When its done cooking, eat it.

Olivia Osborne

Ingredients

Water, watermelon, corn, milk, green beans, ramen noodles, gummy bears, colors.

Directions

Put gummy bears and strawberry shortcake on it. Put it in the oven for eight minutes at 8 degrees. Cook it and eat it.
Caylee Howell

Ingredients

Milk, sugar, hot sauce, bananas, pepper, salt, mayonnaise and ketchup.

Directions

Put greens in it. Pour the milk on it and put syrup on it. Put it in the oven for seven minutes at 120 degrees. Eat it.
Students in Courtney Keeton’s kindergarten class at Piney Chapel Elementary School shared the following recipes: 
Brayden Maldonado: My momma washes it first. Then, she takes it out of the pack. Put it on a pan and put it in the oven at 4 degrees with one potato.
Emma Pratt: Wash it first. Cook it. My mom and dad put it in the oven for seven hours. Eat it.
Haley Nash: Stuff it with cheese. Put it in oven for seven minutes. Serve it with popcorn.
Eric Landin: Bake it at 70 degrees for five hours. Then, stuff it with macaroni and cheese.
Joseph Davis: Take the feathers off. Wash it. Put it in a pan. Stuff with cheese, candy and popcorn. Cook for 10 hours in a red hot oven. Serve the turkey with pizza. Sometimes you can grill it on a stove.
Addie Wallace: You shoot the turkey and take off the feathers. Then, you put the stuffing in it. Last, you cook it in the oven.
Eric McGovern: First you shoot the turkey and then you wash it off. Then you put it in the oven. You take it out and you eat it.
Alyiesiea Vega: You have to wash the turkey off first. You bake it outside. Then, you can put some salad around it. Then, take it home and eat it.
Yazmin Cunca: Wash it and make it. Turkey and potatoes are my Thanksgiving meal.
Corey Stanley: First, you shoot the turkey. Then, you clean it. You bake it in the oven. Last, you eat it for Thanksgiving dinner.
Jayden Russell: I would cook a turkey by putting pumpkins and gummies around my turkey. Then, I would put some ranch dressing on the turkey. Then, I would put it in the oven and cook it for 15 hours. That’s it.
Tyler Duck: First, I would shoot it. Then, wash it and cook it for 15 minutes. Then, you get to eat it.
Hanna Heard: First you shoot it. Then, you put some stuff like cheese and ranch in it. You put it in the oven for 30 minutes. Then, you eat it.
Maritza Olxao: First you cook it and then you eat it.
Amelia Hernandez: First you cook it and then eat.
Yahashi Vicente: Cook it first. Then eat!
Garrett Hopkins: First you shoot it. Then, you put it in the oven. Then, you wash it. Then, you have to put it on the stove. Then, you eat it.
Students in Katie Clark’s kindergarten class at Piney Chapel Elementary School shared the following recipes: 
Maritza Armenta: Stuff it with chicken. Put it in the oven for 10 seconds.
Makayla Trosusdale: Put salt and sugar on it. Put it in the oven for one minute. Cook at 5 degrees.

Noah Ghadimy: Put sugar in the turkey. Fry the turkey at 5 degrees for six minutes. Put mustard on it.
Hayden Hargrove: Wash it and put it in the microwave for five minutes. Add pepper.

Sayra Sanchez: Stuff it with bread. Put it in a hot oven for two minutes.
Anonymous: Cook it six minutes. Stuff it with bread and salt and sugar.
Luke Pinkey: Put it on the grill for one hour. Stuff with pepper and cheese. Eat with ketchup.
Brooklyn Dillworth: Stuff it with chicken nuggets. Make it on the stove. Then, it hops out of the stove.
Adan Diaz: Stuff turkey with cheese. Cook on stove for five hours at 10 degrees.
Landon Fisher: I would put salt and butter inside. I would put it in a pan and cook for two hours at 500 degrees. I would cut it up. Put it on my plate and eat it.
Dominic Bartlow: I would stuff it with chicken and cook for five hours. Put it on a plate and let it cool off.
Omaren Hernandez: I would put salt inside and cook for three hours.
Amy Vega: My momma doesn’t cook turkey, but I would cook it for like three hours.
Brandon Farris: Put it in the stove and cook it for six hours.

Lexi Strong: I would put salt and butter inside. I would put it in the oven and cook for seven hours.
Mason Taylor: I would put cheese and chicken nuggets inside. I would cook it for seven days.
