Steve Jobs , the top leader and brain behind the iconic firm Apple has resigned from his post in the company.The unopposed master of the world class technology, creator of the iPod, iPhone and iPad, who has redefined the definition of look, elegance and performance and feel of computing and media, announced his resignation on Wednesday. He cited his unstable health condition as the reason behind the decision.
Being a college dropout, the journey was never a easy going for Jobs. He was brought up by his adoptive parents (his biological father was a Syrian graduate student) who almost became a monk. He has a spiritual connection to India and had on a pilgrimage in 1974 in India.
1976 - Jobs and Stephen Wozniak float Apple and launched its first computer the same year.
1985- Jobs resign from Apple.
1996- Jobs returned as an advisor after Apple bought up start up next.
1998- Apple launches iMac.
1999- iBook launched as low cost laptop.
2001- Apple launched iconic iPod.
2004- Jobs Underwent Surgery for pancreatic cancer.
2007- iPhone launched.
2009- Jobs got liver transplanted.
2010- Jobs unvieled iPad 1.
2011- Jobs took medical leave again.
2011- Jobs returned to unviel iPad 2.
august 2011- Jobs resigned.
The news of his resignation sent Apple shares falling nearly 3% at the start of trading on Wall Street, knocking around $10bn (£6.1bn) off the company's value. The fall was slightly better than the 5% decline predicted before trading began, and meant Apple shares were changing hands for $365 each. They rose above $370 by late morning and were trading just 0.6% down in mid-afternoon.
