Yamuna Expressway was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav via video-link on Thursday, After encountering several roadblocks and witnessing a one of the fiercest farmer's aggression over compensation for land in 2010-11 that led to police firing in which half-a- dozen people killed.
The Expressway is developed by Jaiprakash Associates, is 165,537 km long, Six lane,allows 120km/hr, longest acess controlled expressway in the country.
