Soon you will be flyimg the car you have seen in story books, according to recent research by British aviation experts. Within five years Britons may be flying in their cars, zooming past the busy traffic lanes. The $250,000 Terrafugia Transition is a two-seater ,carbon fiber aircraft, which has a top speed of 115 mph, a range of 500 miles on a tank of fuel and requires just 20 hours training to fly, whose model have been formally approved by US authorities.

'It's like a little Transformer,' said Terrafugia founder Carl Dietrich, referring to the children's toys that were turned into a blockbuster movie franchise.

The car has been aimed primarily for USA where there are a plenty of airstrips and FLY-IN zones, but a lot of enthusiast Britons including Boeing 707 owner John Travolta have already shown their interest in the unique vehicle.
